Photography:photographer?
I would never dare call myself a photographer; maybe someone who can use a camera and edit the results or maybe someone who knows how to use the medium for my own amusement. But a photographer; never.
I like to document people: examine what makes us human, whatever that means. Our fragility, our obsessions, our interactions with each other and the places we haunt. I love to celebrate the absurdity of life.
In most of the pictures I make there'll be a gag somewhere: an amusing juxtaposition, something almost invisible that maybe I was the only witness to. Part of me also uses that as a defence: it's not meant to be serious. That sort of thing. Sometimes I just like to capture beauty, in all of its forms.
Hopefully you'll find something pleasing or, better still, you'll get the joke.
